Waterproof floors that look like the real thing

Luxury vinyl plank and laminate — the practical, kid-and-dog-proof floor that reads as wood or stone and shrugs off spills, basements, and busy hallways.

Luxury vinyl plank flooring in a modern kitchen
Overview

The floor that finally fits real life

Luxury vinyl is the floor people are genuinely happy with a year later. It’s fully waterproof, it doesn’t scratch when the dog sprints for the door, and modern printing makes it hard to tell from oak or travertine until you’re on your knees looking.

Because it’s dimensionally stable and waterproof, LVP goes where hardwood shouldn’t — basements, kitchens, laundry rooms, and slab-on-grade floors. The trade-off that used to exist between "looks good" and "handles anything" is basically gone.

Laminate remains a strong value where waterproofing is less critical. We install both, and the honest performance difference is something we’ll walk you through room by room.

Questions

Good to know

Is luxury vinyl really waterproof?
The plank itself is — a spill or a leaky dishwasher won’t swell or warp it the way it would laminate or hardwood. For basements and wet rooms we also detail the perimeter and transitions so water has nowhere to sit.
Can it go over my existing floor?
Sometimes — over sound, flat tile or vinyl it can. Over anything uneven or failing, we remove it and level first. We’ll tell you which case you’re in at the measure so the quote is real.
LVP vs. laminate — what’s the difference?
LVP is waterproof and softer underfoot; laminate is a bit harder-wearing on the surface but not waterproof. For kitchens, baths, and basements we lean LVP; for dry bedrooms on a budget, laminate can be the smarter spend.
How disruptive is the install?
Low — most rooms are done in a day and the floor is walkable immediately, with no finish cure time like hardwood. There’s a $850 project minimum.
