A heated floor is a small luxury with an outsized daily payoff — stepping onto a warm bathroom or kitchen floor in January is the kind of thing people mention to guests for years. It’s most at home under tile and stone, which otherwise run cold underfoot.
We install electric radiant systems: a thin heating mat or cable set into the mortar bed, wired to a programmable thermostat so the floor is warm when you wake and off when you’re at work. It adds almost no height, so thresholds and door clearances stay clean.
The right time to do it is when you’re already re-tiling — the heat goes in during the same project, so you’re never paying twice to open up the same floor.

Good to know
Is it expensive to run?
Electric radiant is efficient in the rooms where it makes sense — baths and kitchens — because you heat the floor on a schedule, not around the clock. Most owners run it a few hours morning and evening.
Does it work under any floor?
Best under tile and stone, which conduct and hold heat well. It can go under some engineered floors too — we’ll confirm your material is rated for it before quoting.
Do I need an electrician?
Yes — the system ties into a dedicated circuit, and we coordinate a licensed electrician for the connection so it’s done to code. That coordination is built into the project.
Should I do it now or later?
Now, if you’re re-tiling the room anyway — the heat installs in the same open floor. Adding it later means tearing out a floor you just paid for.
