Overview
The most beautiful floor is the least forgiving
Natural stone has a depth no printed surface can fake — every piece is genuinely one of a kind. It also punishes shortcuts: stone is porous, it telegraphs any movement below it, and it has to be sealed and set with real care to stay beautiful.
We dry-lay stone first to blend veining and color across the whole floor, so the finished room looks composed rather than random. The substrate gets the same membrane-and-leveling discipline as tile, because a cracked marble tile is not a repair anyone enjoys.
Sealed properly and maintained, a stone floor is a decades-long surface with a presence that makes the rest of the room rise to meet it.

Good to know
Does stone need special maintenance?
It needs sealing and pH-neutral cleaners — acidic cleaners etch marble and limestone. We seal it on install and give you the short, simple care routine that keeps it looking new.
Is stone slippery?
Polished stone can be; honed and textured finishes are far less so. For entries, baths, and anywhere that gets wet we’ll steer you toward the right finish.
Why the higher rate and minimum?
Stone is heavier, more fragile, and demands slower, more precise work — plus dry-lay blending and sealing. The $14/sq ft labor rate and $1,750 minimum reflect the craft the material actually requires.
Can you match stone to an existing area?
We’ll do our best to source complementary material, but natural stone varies lot to lot by nature — we set expectations honestly before you commit.
